Khalil is 2 Months!!!!

I can hardly believe how fast the time has gone by. It seems like yesterday we brought him home and were staring at him in his bassinet, nervously carrying him around the house hoping we wouldn't drop him and rocking out to Bob Marley trying to get him to stop crying in the middle of the night. Now we run around with him like he is a little football, he goes to sleep all on his own in his crib and as long as he is fed, changed, and has a binky hardly puts up a fuss in the middle of the night.
It has been an amazing two months. We brought him home and a month later celebrated our 2 year anniversary. A month after that we took him pumpkin picking at the famous Roloff Farm from the show little people big world.
We are so blessed to have him in our life. We were a family before him but he is the cherry on top of our family sundae.
The little guy struggled with nursing in the beginning and wasn't gaining weight so the doc had us supplementing with formula. I'm sorry to report that once we started the formula his nursing habits didn't get any better and now we are almost completely formula feeding him. It has been a blessing and a curse to formula feed. The blessing is he is now a healthy 9 lbs. The curse is the smell, gas and cost. It's just another example of what you will do as a parent to have a healthy child.
It has been the baby year we have two friends who were due one month before us and one month after us and all three babies have finally joined us in the world. First came Judah, then came Khalil and last but certainly not least is Koa. They are going to be fantastic friends. I can't wait for the sleepovers, birthday parties and games.
As I said before it feels like we just brought him home but sadly it's been 2 months and I have to go back to work tomorrow. My schedule is such that I only have to work 3 days a week till the middle of November leaving me a 4 day weekend with the little guy.
We feel blessed to have someone sitting for us that we know, trust, and has the same parenting ideals that we have. It is truly a blessing from the Lord. I think he knew that in order for me to feel ok about going back to work he would have to line up someone truly special and amazing to take care of our little one.
Eryn and I are really looking forward to the holidays this year with an excitement that we don't normally have. We can not wait to enjoy the holidays through the eyes of our little one. I know that he will not be able to enjoy the holidays as much this year as in subsequent years but this is his first year and we want to make it special.
We hope that is update finds everyone healthy and seeking God.
Love
Eryn, Jasmine Khalil and Kona
